I’m an award-winning journalist who’s written features, produced podcasts, and created videos for a few of the top news outlets and magazines in the country.

Molly is a freelance journalist based in New York. She specializes in work at the intersection of politics and health, investigations, and data journalism. Her beats include reproductive health and gambling, as well as oddities and weird things happening on the internet.

Molly’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Wired, Teen Vogue, Vice, Texas Monthly, Cosmopolitan, Refinery29, Esquire, The Des Moines Register, and The Phoenix New Times.

She strings for The New York Times’s metro and politics desks. She covered the 2025 mayoral election in NYC, doing shoe-leather reporting that humanized the issues at stake. In the run-up to the 2024 election, she followed presidential candidates, including Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Gov. Nikki Haley, and Vivek Ramaswamy on the campaign trail in Iowa.

She also writes national news for newsletter, The Daily Skimm, injecting voice, precision, and clarity into stories on everything from the Louvre heist to DOGE.

Molly enjoys hiking, public records, and watching videos of cows on Instagram. She grew up in Iowa.
